The guild is now level 21 and still going strong, and we’ve been making great strides on 10-man raids. We downed the first boss in Heart of Fear in one attempt, and the second boss in two. With the 5.2 patch out now, we can start getting even better gear through the new LFR’s, and we’ll soon have a few of the 5.0 raids on farm status. Exciting times!

We successfully downed Imperial Vizier Zor’Lok, the first boss in Heart of Fear. Congrats Keltic on a kickass new cloak, and Magicheals on some shiny new booties! We also made some great strides towards getting Blade Lord Ta’Yak learned, getting him down to about 50% . Not too shabby for a 2 week old guild. Very proud of ya’ll, and cocoa butter for everyone!

Cocoa butter.
The guild hit level 10! 10 levels in 10 days, not too shabby. We’re finally starting to settle in and get going. We have our first raid scheduled, and I for one am really looking forward to it. There are also plans afoot to attempt more challenge mode dungeons, as well as runs to Cataclysm dungeons for achievements and transmog gear.

We successfully completed a challenge mode dungeon. With no prior training or research, a quintet of stalwart adventurers sojourned into the creaking depths of the Temple of the Jade Serpent, and emerged victorious. We won, ya’ll! We weren’t quick enough for a medal, but the fact we were able to figure out the fights and complete it is pretty damn awesome. It shows that we can learn on the fly, and I think we’d be able to medal the next run through. Plus, it made for a fuckton of experience for the guild, which is damn near level 7 now. Also, because I can, here’s some evil:

We’re making good progress with guild leveling. By getting to level 5, we’ll now start generating income for the guild bank, which means I can turn on the “repair with guild funds” option! It’ll probably be fairly limited at first, until we get further ranks, but we already have a good nestegg going thanks to some generous donations. Keep up the awesomeness, all!

I’m so stoked so many great people joined up to form this new guild. I’m really looking forward towards the next few months, as we get settled and start plowing through content. There were a few things I wanted to say though, as we start in on this new endeavor:
The roster may show ‘Guild Master’ next to my name, but it’s only because I was standing closest to the guild creation NPC. As far as I’m concerned, we go by committee/majority for decisions. We all seem to be of enough like-mindedness that I don’t see any problems with this.
If you are at all curious at the origins of this guild, the full texts of the ‘officer’s meeting’ are viewable at http://www.leetum.com/meeting
This website is because I was bored at work. I’ll slowly turn it into a repository of knowledge, sorta, but will never be required reading, or DKP tracking, or any other bullshit. If other people want to make posts or add info, I’ll gladly give access to it.
I know a priority for a lot of people is to get the guild leveled up. We’ve done a bit of research, and there’s a few ways to boost efficiency a bit. First off, we can cap a lot of the weekly guild challenges pretty easily. We can do guild-group dungeons a week, and we get 300,000 guild exp each, whether they are regular or heroic. So burning through a few regs will really help. There’s also guild group scenarios. 15 of those a week, for 50,000 exp a pop isn’t too shabby. Finally, they removed the limits on quest experience. Any quest completed by a guild member gets 60,000 for the guild, Even for level 1’s. Which means rolling a newb (human hunters seem most efficient), joining the guild, doing the newbie quests to Goldshire, then repeating is extremely efficient.
If anyone has any other tips and tricks or whatnot, let me know and they’ll get rolled into the site here.
This guild shall kick ass. And it will be awesome.
